Gremlin's colourful 1990s mascot Zool is receiving an unusually elaborate physical celebration through 33 Games' Ultimate Archive Edition. Built around the new Mega Drive release of the original platformer, the £130 collector's package is effectively a time capsule for fans of the Ninja of the Nth Dimension. At its centre is a genuine Mega Drive-compatible cartridge supplied in a traditional clamshell case with a game guide and specially finished sleeve. The large presentation box also contains a premium hardcover edition of Gremlin in the Works, a translucent green audio cassette containing Zool music, three art cards, a foil trading card, a numbered and signed certificate of authenticity and a heavyweight collector's coin. Early review packages have encountered a production issue involving the coin, with at least some samples arriving without it. Zool originally debuted on the Commodore Amiga in 1992 before appearing on numerous systems including Atari ST, Mega Drive, SNES, Master System and Game Gear.
