Roguelike Celebration held its free 2026 preview event on the evening of 13 September, giving game historians and procedural-generation enthusiasts an early taste of the full virtual conference scheduled for October. The preview began at 21:00 UTC, or 23:00 CEST, and took place inside the event's custom-built browser-based multiplayer social environment. Three talks covered subjects particularly relevant to the history and design traditions surrounding classic computer games.
