Psikyo Memories Locks 12 Arcade Shooters Into One February 2027 Collection

Publisher Edia confirms Psikyo Memories will bring 12 iconic arcade shoot-'em-ups including Strikers 1945, Gunbird, and Dragon Blaze to PS5 and Switch 2 on February 18, 2027.

Publisher Edia has filled in the important blanks surrounding Psikyo Memories, its modern collection celebrating one of the great names of 1990s arcade shoot-'em-ups. The compilation will launch on February 18, 2027 for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 and contains twelve games: Dragon Blaze, Gunbarich, Gunbird, Gunbird 2, Samurai Aces, Tengai, Samurai Aces III: Sengoku Cannon, Sol Divide, Strikers 1945, Strikers 1945 II, Strikers 1999 and Zero Gunner 2. That is essentially an organised tour through Psikyo's particular talent for putting tiny player aircraft underneath alarming quantities of ammunition. Edia is also including a gallery of historical materials, giving the package at least some archival ambition beyond dropping twelve ROMs behind a menu.

Japanese pre-orders opened October 5. The standard physical or digital edition is priced at ¥6,800 before tax, while a ¥14,800 special edition adds an illustration booklet, tabletop calendar and twelve dog tags. Edia's Tokyo Game Show catalogue indicated that its 2027-and-later releases are intended for simultaneous worldwide launches, although precise overseas retail arrangements still deserve confirmation. One collector-related wrinkle is worth noting: the Switch 2 physical release uses a game-key card rather than storing the complete game on the cartridge. Psikyo specialised in making players dodge impossible-looking bullet patterns. Decades later, collectors are apparently dodging download requirements instead.
