Persona 4 Revival Reveals New Location Episodes and More of Its Rebuilt Investigation Team
Atlus shares new footage of Persona 4 Revival in its second broadcast, confirming Location Episodes, supporting characters, and launch dates for PS5, Xbox, Switch 2 and PC in 2027.
Atlus has released the second episode of its Persona 4 Revival Broadcast, offering another look at how the much-loved 2008 RPG is being rebuilt for modern hardware. The presentation focuses on additional members of the Investigation Team, supporting characters and combat while also introducing a new feature called Location Episodes. These sequences appear to expand the social and character-driven side of Persona 4 rather than simply recreating the original game scene for scene. Composer Ryota Kozuka also contributed a message to the presentation. Persona 4 originally launched for PlayStation 2 in 2008 before receiving the expanded Persona 4 Golden on PlayStation Vita in 2012, helping transform what had once been a comparatively niche Shin Megami Tensei spin-off into one of Atlus's defining franchises. Revival therefore faces the unusual challenge of modernising a game whose characters, structure and rural Japanese setting remain highly recognisable to a large existing audience. Atlus has now locked in release dates as well. Persona 4 Revival launches February 18, 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam and Microsoft Store. Nintendo Switch 2 follows on May 20, 2027, while the Xbox and PC editions will also be available through Game Pass.
