RetroRGB's 6 September roundup reports that the updated core now incorporates support for both the Amiga CD32 and CDTV, alongside emulation of Commodore's A2065 Zorro II Ethernet adapter and additional framework and filesystem fixes. CD32 and CDTV support is particularly significant because these machines sit at two very different points in Commodore's attempts to repurpose Amiga technology beyond conventional desktop computers. The CDTV arrived in the early 1990s as an expensive multimedia appliance built around Amiga architecture, years before the idea of a living-room multimedia machine became normal. The CD32 followed later and took a much more direct videogame-console approach, becoming one of the final major hardware products released before Commodore's collapse. Both systems have dedicated software and distinctive boot behaviour that make them more than cosmetic variations of an Amiga computer. Incorporating them into a mature FPGA core means MiSTer users can increasingly explore the wider ecosystem from one hardware implementation. The A2065 support is interesting for another reason. Networking cards tend to receive less attention than graphics and sound hardware in retro recreation, yet they were part of how higher-end Amiga systems were actually used. Emulating Commodore's Zorro II Ethernet adapter broadens what can be attempted with historical networking environments and software. The update also includes a correction for a DosAllocMem and DosFreeMem size mismatch within MiSTerFileSystem, demonstrating the less glamorous debugging required to make a complex computer core dependable. Amiga preservation has never been easy because there is no single Amiga configuration. Chipsets, CPUs, memory expansions, accelerators, CD systems and countless peripherals all complicate the target. This update does not magically reproduce every possible setup, but CD32, CDTV and A2065 support bring MiSTer noticeably closer to acting as a broad hardware archive of Commodore's most celebrated computer family.
