Croc Collector's Editions Finally Begin Shipping After Argonaut Intervenes in Long-Running Delays

Argonaut Games intervenes directly to resolve fulfilment delays for Croc: Legend of the Gobbos Collector's Editions, with packages now heading to buyers.

Collectors who ordered expensive physical editions of Croc: Legend of the Gobbos may finally receive their purchases after a frustrating period of delays. Developer Argonaut Games and physical publisher Rock It Games have confirmed that the long-awaited Collector's Editions have begun moving toward customers. The packages were originally offered in October 2024 for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5, with a retail price of $129.99. Their contents include the game, printed documentation, a multi-disc soundtrack and collectible merchandise such as a Croc statue, poster and keychain. What initially appeared to be a conventional premium physical release developed into a lengthy fulfilment problem. Production difficulties, packaging complications, shipping concerns and the decision to use the updated Platinum Edition of the game contributed to repeated delays. Standard physical editions began shipping earlier in 2026, but Collector's Edition customers continued waiting. Argonaut has now confirmed that it intervened directly and is coordinating with the logistics provider to help resolve remaining deliveries. Rock It Games has also acknowledged the unusually long delay and stated that outstanding fulfilment is progressing. However, the announcement should not be interpreted as confirmation that every customer has received a package. Individual orders may still be awaiting shipment or delivery confirmation. The situation provides another reminder of the risks associated with premium retro-gaming merchandise, particularly when customers pay long before production is complete. Croc's original PlayStation adventure was remembered for its colourful environments and charming character design. Its physical re-release has unfortunately become memorable for something considerably less entertaining: a remarkably long wait for the postman.
