Croc 2 Kingdom of the Gobbos Remaster Finally Launches on PC and Consoles With Enhanced Graphics and Digital Museum

Argonaut Games and Titanium Studios release Croc 2 Kingdom of the Gobbos remaster on Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox and PC featuring modern visuals and Croc2pedia museum.

Argonaut Games has officially released Croc 2 Kingdom of the Gobbos on October 29, 2026, bringing the 1999 platform adventure back to modern systems after more than a quarter of a century. The remaster is available digitally for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC through Steam and GOG. Developed by Titanium Studios and published by the revived Argonaut Games, the new edition follows the successful return of the original Croc adventure. This time, the friendly crocodile travels beyond the Gobbos' original island in search of his long-lost parents. Unfortunately, the villainous Baron Dante has been resurrected by his loyal Dantinis and is once again determined to make everybody's life considerably more complicated. The adventure takes players through four distinct mainland villages and more than forty levels featuring platforming challenges, puzzles, secrets and boss encounters. Croc retains his familiar jumping and tail-spinning abilities while gaining access to additional activities including minecart rides, car races, speedboat challenges, hang gliding and aerial adventures. The remaster introduces improved visuals and modern quality-of-life enhancements while attempting to preserve the personality of the original release. One particularly welcome addition is the Croc2pedia, an interactive digital museum containing historical development material, previously unseen content and a ninety-minute documentary featuring interviews with developers involved in both the original and modern versions. That archival component makes the package especially interesting to videogame historians because it documents the production of a relatively overlooked late-1990s platform adventure. The October 29 release is confirmed by the live Steam listing and Nintendo's official store. Separate physical editions are planned for 2027 through a publishing agreement with PM Studios. Croc's return demonstrates that the late-1990s platforming boom still contains characters worth revisiting. Apparently twenty-seven years is enough time for a crocodile to finish packing for his next adventure.
