Castlevania's 40th Anniversary Concert Gets Tokyo, London and Los Angeles Dates

Konami announces a global 40th Anniversary orchestral rock tour for Castlevania across Tokyo, London, and Los Angeles in March 2027, including Belmont's Curse music.

Konami's celebration of Castlevania's fortieth anniversary is moving from cartridges and streaming playlists into concert halls. Castlevania 40th Anniversary: An Orchestral Concert now has confirmed dates in three cities for March 2027, performed by a 25-piece 'power rock orchestra' accompanied by synchronised gameplay footage.

The tour opens at Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall on March 13, continues at London's Eventim Apollo on March 14 and concludes at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on March 26. Tickets begin rolling out on October 1, with Tokyo using a lottery-based presale from noon JST, London sales opening at noon BST and Los Angeles at 10 AM Pacific.

The programme is expected to cover the series' entire musical history, including Vampire Killer, Bloody Tears, Dracula's Castle and Divine Bloodlines. More unusually, the concerts will also contain the first live performances of music from Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, Konami's new entry arriving October 15.

Videogame concert programmes are hardly rare anymore, but Castlevania has a particularly unfair advantage: its composers spent forty years writing material that already sounded as though somebody should eventually rent an orchestra. From the clipped melodies of the Famicom era through Symphony of the Night's lavish arrangements, music has always been part of the franchise's identity rather than decorative wallpaper. Dracula may return every century, but the soundtrack apparently requires only forty years and a booking agent.
