AYN Odin 3 Portal Preorders Open With Surprise 1TB Model Added to Premium Handheld Range

AYN opens preorders for Odin 3 Portal handheld with a newly unveiled 16GB RAM and 1TB storage edition priced at $669 alongside 120Hz OLED display.

AYN has officially opened preorders for its Odin 3 Portal Android handheld, introducing an additional configuration that was absent from the company's original pricing announcement. The new model combines 16GB of RAM with 1TB of internal storage and carries an introductory price of $669. This expands the range to four configurations rather than the three previously announced. The Base edition provides 12GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for $399, while the Pro model increases storage to 256GB for $479. The original Max configuration offers 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage for $549. All four models receive introductory discounts, with the 1TB edition reduced from its announced regular price of $699. The handheld uses Qualcomm's Dragonwing Q8 processor and Adreno 830 graphics, making it one of the more ambitious Android devices targeting demanding games and console emulation. Its specifications include a seven-inch 1080p OLED display operating at up to 120Hz, a 9,000mAh battery and modern wireless connectivity. AYN has redesigned the handgrips, analogue sticks and shoulder controls to improve comfort during longer sessions. The device is available in black, white and Cold Grey. According to the manufacturer, orders are expected to begin shipping during November 2026, although this remains an estimated schedule rather than confirmation of individual deliveries. The expanded storage option is particularly relevant to enthusiasts maintaining substantial collections of legally obtained software and game backups. However, the additional capacity comes at a considerable premium. Independent testing will still be necessary to establish sustained performance, battery endurance and emulator compatibility. AYN has now revealed the prices and opened ordering. The next challenge is demonstrating that its expensive new handheld can justify the enthusiasm surrounding it.
