The Amiga has another genuinely new puzzle game with Amiga Rescue, created by Steve Higgins and developed directly on original hardware using AMOS Professional. The game contains 50 increasingly complicated stages built around repairing virtual circuit boards. Players rotate trace pieces to establish correct electrical paths while dealing with specialised components including directional diodes, leaky capacitors and other obstacles that change how the circuit behaves. It is a theme particularly appropriate for a new game on a computer whose current owners frequently spend as much time repairing thirty-year-old electronics as they do playing games. Amiga Rescue is distributed in both ADF floppy-image and LHA archive form, making it suitable for emulators, modern storage solutions and real machines.
